Living with AL amyloidosis: Belinda Pedroso shares her story

Belinda Pedroso is a woman of color diagnosed with AL amyloidosis. AL amyloidosis is a rare and life-threatening condition in which plasma cells within the body’s immune system create abnormal proteins that build up in organs and tissues, causing them to malfunction.

While Pedroso’s journey with amyloidosis has been difficult, she remains positive and hopeful for the future. She encourages others facing similar challenges to stay strong and seek support from loved ones.
