Diabetes doesn’t have to win

I have Type 2 diabetes. I have been fortunate to keep my diabetes under control and is now off of insulin.  It was not easy but I was determined to live a life free of insulin.  I did everything my doctors told me and I prayed daily for wisdom. It is important to have both a family doctor and a Endocrinologist as they both monitor and treat different illnesses.  I monitored my sugar levels daily, I exercised and managed my food intake.  The result of my commitment to better health has paid off as I am now off insulin.  I am controlling my diabetes with proper food and exercise.  Being able to manage my diabetes without medication is a blessing and brings me joy.
