Event Takeways

  • Attendees emphasized the importance of being your own advocate, understanding your rights and options as a birthing person, and heeding advice to “listen to your body.”
  • Partners of birthing persons were more present at this event, and expressed a desire to be more educated on ways they could support the birthing partner.
  • People loved the swag options- t-shirts, blankets, chapsticks, hand sanitizers- having lots of options drew people in
  • People were also really drawn to entering into the maternity photoshoot giveaway. Word spread around the room, especially to expecting mothers, who came to enter the giveaway immediately.
