Cancer Awareness Health Fair

Join us for the Cancer Awareness Health Fair on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 AM at the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center for a day filled with valuable information and resources on blood cancers like multiple myeloma, lymphoma and leukemia, and clinical trials. Learn about the latest research, screenings, and lifestyle changes that may help reduce your risk. Meet with healthcare professionals and take advantage of free screenings and consultations.

This health fair will include a formal presentation and Q/A panel with the following guest speakers:

• Dr. Perry Cook, Attending Physician, Hematology Oncology at NYP-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
• Dr. Donald Moore, Primary Care Physician and Professor, Pace University
• Kareen Lambert, MPH, Oncology Navigator at NYP-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
• Julie Plantamura, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, AOCNP, Oncology Clinical Educator at Johnson & Johnson

You’ll also have the opporunity to receive free on-site mutliple myeloma screening through the PROMISE study (https://www.enroll.promisestudy.org/) at this event!

Free cancer screenings for colorectal, breast and prostate faciliated by the New York State Cancer Services Program also available. No insurance required!
