Amanda Sapp is the Vice President of Media at Bread of Life, Inc. and General Manager of Amazing 102.5 FM, a dynamic Houston-based radio station amplifying community voices and cultural impact. Amanda also serves as the Communications, Press, Publicity, and Technology Committee Chair for the NAACP Houston Branch, where she helps advance justice and equity across the region.
Christine Ye, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Lymphoma-Myeloma at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is a clinical investigator specializing in multiple myeloma, leading multi-center and cooperative group clinical trials for innovative therapies. Dr. Ye also collaborates with lab scientists, focusing on biomarkers like MRD and immune profiling for clinical application.
Cheryl Solomon is a retired nurse consultant and a multiple myeloma survivor from Houston, TX. Diagnosed in 2022, she achieved total remission following care, including a stem cell transplant, at MD Anderson. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha and a founding member of Cross Roads Community Church, Cheryl is dedicated to giving back through health initiatives and cherishes her supportive family.
Danny Massenburg is a U.S. Navy military veteran and a multiple myeloma survivor. Originally from Raleigh, NC, he now resides in Houston, TX, where he was diagnosed with the condition in 2019. Danny actively shares his journey, inspiring others with his resilience and commitment to living well with multiple myeloma.
Amy Barker is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Plasma Cell Dyscrasias within the Department of Lymphoma/Myeloma at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She received her Master’s Degree from UT Health Houston Cizik School of Nursing. As a research APP, Amy is dedicated to advancing patient care and research, successfully managing numerous clinical studies for novel therapies.
Eric Dillon is an independent engineering consultant in the oil & gas sector and a multiple myeloma survivor from Katy, TX. Diagnosed in 2022 after an initial misdiagnosis, he began an 8-cycle immunotherapy clinical trial at MD Anderson in 2024, followed by a stem cell mobilization study. Having completed treatment in May 2025, he is preparing for stem cell replacement, supported by his large, loving family and the MD Anderson Team.
Deborah Johnson is the retired Chief Operating Officer of the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and a resilient multiple myeloma survivor from Pearland, Texas. First diagnosed in 2017, she achieved a “Very Good Remission.” After a 2023 relapse, Deborah enrolled in a clinical study at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she is now in “Complete Remission,” crediting her deep faith and the steadfast support of her husband, family, and friends.
Huey Reaux is a U.S. Navy veteran, a retired machinist, and a multiple myeloma survivor. Diagnosed in 2019, he successfully underwent chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, now in remission while continuing research studies at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Married for 53 years, Mr. Reaux brings a wealth of life experience and resilience, sharing his journey to inspire and uplift others.
Kenisha Milo is a Caregiver Support Social Work Supervisor at the Department of Veterans Affairs, with over 24 years of experience as a clinical social worker. She proudly serves as one of her father’s caregivers throughout his multiple myeloma journey, balancing this role with her own family life. Her personal caregiving experience, combined with her clinical background, provides a unique perspective on supporting families impacted by serious illness.
Dr. Tiffany Richards is an adult nurse practitioner at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She received her PhD from Texas Woman’s University. Her primary research interest includes targeted and immunotherapy for people with multiple myeloma. Ms. Richards has given numerous presentations on multiple myeloma and has been published in journals, including the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing.
