For far too long, we have been overlooked and misguided when it comes to our health.
Members of the black community are far more likely than our white counterparts to be mis- or undiagnosed.
The system wasn’t built to treat us, and so we’ve learned to distrust it.
Today, as little as 2% of the US population is currently a part of clinical trials. Only a fraction of that includes individuals from the black community. We can’t change the system if we don’t participate in it.
The time is now to be included in the conversations – and the systems – that impact our health.
By providing access to trusted health resources, we are on a mission to encourage black people to participate in the research that is shaping the future of healthcare.
