Difficulty breathing, coughing, and chest pain? Living with pulmonary sarcoidosis can be challenging. Help manage your symptoms with these resources.
About this Campaign
Pulmonary sarcoidosis is a rare lung disease which develops when a small group of cells cause the lungs to become swollen (inflammation). People with pulmonary sarcoidosis might feel tired a lot (fatigue), experience trouble breathing, chest pain, and a dry cough. While it often improves within a few years, for some, it can last longer and even return after treatment.
Doctors don’t know what exactly causes sarcoidosis, but they think it might come from a mix of things in your genes and your environment. What we do know is Black women in the U.S. are three times more likely to develop sarcoidosis than white women and white men. Which is why it’s important to raise awareness, provide support, and increase access to proper medical care for those affected.Find more information below.
By participating in clinical research, you have the opportunity to access to investigational medicines and have your health closely monitored by experts.
